The Church of England has a very helpful website full of information about getting married in church, including lots of practical ideas to help you plan your day, and the answers to many of the most frequently asked questions. You can access the site by clicking on the logo below:

Or you can get in touch with us here if you would like to look into having your wedding at St Andrew’s.

Baptisms and Thanksgivings

We offer both Thanksgivings For the Gift of a Child and Baptisms (which can take place as a child or much later in life) at St Andrew’s. If you would like more information about either of these opportunities, you might find the Church of England’s website about Christenings helpful. Please click on the logo below:

You might like to get in touch to discuss your own situation and what would be most appropriate for you and your child. You may simply want to thank God for a new member in your family. Or you may wish to progress to baptism as well. Please get in touch with us here to find out more about our policies and preparation courses.

You may also be interested in finding out more about our Women’s Thanksgiving services, an opportunity to give thanks for care during pregnancy, childbirth and the early times of a baby’s life. Please find information here.

A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.

The Church of England’s ‘Funerals’ website is full of information about what to expect at a church funeral (including a church-led service at the crematorium or cemetery), with lots of practical ideas to help you plan a meaningful farewell for a loved one, as well as offering opportunities to help you reflect and pray at what can be a difficult time. Please click on the ‘Funerals’ logo below.

If you’d like to have a funeral at St Andrew’s please do get in touch.
