Messy Church

Messy Church is a way of being church for families and others based around welcome, crafts and art, celebration and eating together. It meets at a time and in a place to suit people who don’t necessarily belong to Sunday church

A typical Messy Church session would include

  • chilling, – fellowship and friendship. Time for people mingle and talk, and catch up on what has been happening with folk since last month.
  • creating, Lots of activities helping us to explore our bible theme.
  • celebrating – worship time, distinctively Christian, bible led, gospel focussed.
  • chomping – eating a meal together gives us chance to get to know each other better, and for us to serve those who come.

We generally meet on the 3rd Saturday in the month 4-6pm.

The St Andrew’s Messy Church has now been running over 4 years. We welcome the whole family together (Dad’s too!) not just the children. Around 100-130 adults and children come regularly and their feedback tells us they really appreciate the family time together and with God. This year we have been delighted to see some of our older children taking on roles in service within Messy Church.
